I got very excited this morning when I happened across a news item that featured a sneak peak of exclusive photos from director’s Tim Burton’s upcoming reimagining of Alice in Wonderland, in theaters March 5. Alice in Wonderland in one of my all time favourite stories! To hear that its getting the Tim Burton treatment , makes me want to start a count down. I cant wait till the 5th of March! Bring it!
Sydney based designers, Ruth Bellotti and Adrian Elys are the brains trust behind chinny chin chin. Wandering through their website is like finding a rusted tin box in the backyard that is full of treasures. There is a range of porcelain pendants, firebombed cars, stickers for unworthy causes and home brand tight ass greeting cards.
But the one thing that did catch my eye was the homing pigeon ring necklace. What a delight to have your very own numbered piece of pigeon racing history; stung up on a pretty sterling silver balled necklace! Complete with your order is a image of the pigeon who once proudly wore the ring and an individual profile so can feel at one with your new charm. Each piece will set you back a cool $49.95 plus postage.
Ever need an accessory that completely says what you need it to say? Then Sydney based designer, Zoe Brand has some rocking little badges to help you tell it like it is…
With a tissue and a bit of spit you can change the message on your own little speech bubble. All you need to do is carry around some chalk with you.
Each badge measures around 50mm and come in oval, rectangle or square. They retail for around AUD$47 shipped at the Etsy Store.
The stunning-pixie like , Sarah Blasko is back with a new album due to be released July 10th called ‘As day follows night”. This first single called ‘All I want” features a gorgeous swaying western beat that is sure to sooth you. The film clip, has been shot in rich saturated colours and Sarah’s character seems to have been carefully assembled, into a beautiful, witchy women. Bring on July 10th!
Twitter goes cross – stitch. @youheartus decided to do something with one of her favourite tweets and one sunny after noon cross stictched out this baby. Not a bad piece of work when you consider she hasnt done much cross stitch over the years. I would love a nice little badge with my fav tweets on it.
