I like you world just set up a online store and hooray for them! I’m very much looking forward to all of the everyday delights that they will fill the store with. The first little gem that I have my eyes on is this reading is sexy badge – it will set you back a cool AUD $39.00 plus postage. Each of the reading is sexy brooches are unique, as you can see below with slightly different fonts and cuts.
Keep an eye on the i like you store, they have some beautiful clothes, accessories and some very cool vintage camper shoes. If online stores are not your thing and you are in Melbourne try to visit their solid state shop, at 80 Johnston St, Fitzroy, Vic. 3065.
I went to the Evelyn Hotel in Brunswick Street last night to see Jackson Jackson. My cousin had said she wanted to get there to see the support “Washington”; can’t say I’d ever heard of them but went along all the same. A petite Megan Washington took the stage with dark rimmed glasses reminiscent of Esme Watson. Solo at first, but then promptly with a complete band. They had an awesome energy on stage that dragged my sorry ass out of it’s tired state. The dude on the xylophone and keys was stunning ( I think this name is Octopus Irwin; according to the myspace page). Megan’s voice reminded me of Abby Dobson… but on supped up go go juice. By the time they got around to playing Clementine, I finally relised that I had heard this band before but just didn’t know what they were called. After some research today I also realised that I had read about Megan in frankie too.
The stand out songs were “Underground” and “Chelsea” are both sticking in my head; each in their own unique way.
Chadstone JBHIFI didnt have the EP and there was nothing at the merch stand last night. So perhaps an iTunes purchase is in order. Oh yeah Jackson Jackson were fun too!
