I recently brought myself a cute little apron from a local shop and I love it – but when it dies I want want of these!! Snappyshot hails from Southern California and has been sewing for over 24 years. Her designs are retro 1950′s, cute and full of fun. Snappyshop’s Etsy store has a vast array of funky little aprons to choose form. She says:

Some of my favorite images are from old advertising illustrations from the fifties and sixties. I especially love anthropomorphic characters, and am currently working on some simple happy kitchen items for lower priced aprons. I like the idea of wearing your apron out, but so far I’ve only worn them when I throw a party. I like to make my apron part of my outfit and wear it during the whole party.

Most of the items in the store are made to order. This apron pictured sells for US$47.00 – get in whilst the Aussie dollar is good.

its that time of year again… those little square instant images will have their week in the sun! back in 2006 two flickr-kirds cate and lori …had an idea! POLAROID WEEK! so they set up a flickr group

if you wanna play? post your polaroids each day, during Monday, May 4th — Friday, May 8th. Simple eh?
there is a limit of 3 photos per per, per day. this flickr pool is open for this period and will close at close of play on Friday the 8th.

So grab some film, grab a camera and get in training.

family fun with photo-opoly

I just stumble across this piece of family fun, via photojojo. It’s a DIY photo-opoly (monopoly) game. You chop up the photos, you design the game. Ace….

Here’s how it works:
Step 1 – Pull out your photos from the ol’ shoebox and use the included glue stick and materials to put ‘em in the game in place of the normal Monopoly real estate spots. Use the included labels, or create your own, to name your spots. (A sharpie’s even included to write with!)

Step 2 – Get the family together and play! In no time flat, you’ll be rolling your way to mom-and-dad’s anniversary or reliving the glory days of Junior High softball…. (Photos of Grandma June’s cats not included.)

One for USD$36 or Two for USD$56. Rock.

On February 8, 2008, Polaroid Corporation announced that it will discontinue production of all instant film. A sad, sad day for many avid polaroid shooters out there. But there are people out there taking action. http://www.savepolaroid.com/ is not about saving Polaroid, the company, rather the remarkable invention of Edwin Land, the instant film that made Polaroid a household name.
